Dr. Ivo Ganchev Leads Bulgarian Pavilion at Beijing China-CEEC Festival
Dr. Ivo Ganchev, the Vice-Chairman of the Bulgaria-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI), organized a Bulgarian pavilion at the China-Central and Eastern European Food and Music Fest, which took place from October 20 to 22, 2023, at Chaoyang Park in Beijing.
The festival, which was co-hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and the Beijing Municipal Government, was a major cultural event. It featured numerous booths CEEC countries, showcasing their distinctive food, drinks, handicrafts, tourism, and culture.
The Bulgarian pavilion, which was organized by Dr. Ivo Ganchev and his BCCCI team, attracted many visitors with its rich and diverse displays of Bulgarian products, tourism, and culture. The pavilion offered a variety of Bulgarian specialties, such as yogurt, cheese, wine, rose oil, and honey, as well as brochures and videos introducing the natural beauty, historical heritage, and cultural charm of Bulgaria. The BCCCI team also expressed a warm welcome to the special guests from Tsvetnitsa, a folk ensemble troupe from Bulgaria which impressed the Chinese audience with their graceful and energetic movements, colorful costumes, and authentic music.
The efforts of the BCCCI to promote Bulgaria at the festival were praised by Ms. Silviya Iordanova, the spouse of the charge d’affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in the PRC. She visited the Bulgarian pavilion and expressed her appreciation and support for Dr. Ivo Ganchev and his team. She also joined them in tasting some of the Bulgarian delicacies and enjoying the dance show.
Dr. Ivo Ganchev expressed his delight at participating in the festival and to showcase the best of Bulgaria to the Chinese public. He said that the festival was a great opportunity to enhance the mutual understanding and friendship between Bulgaria and China, as well as to explore new possibilities for cooperation and exchange in various fields. He also said that he hoped that the festival would inspire more Chinese people to visit Bulgaria and experience its unique culture and hospitality.
