Interviewing Prof. Oliver Errichiello: Europe’s Leading Brand Sociologist

In 2018, he was appointed to the world’s first Professorship in Brand Sociology at Mittweida University of Applied Sciences, and previously taught at the University of Hamburg as well as at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
He is the Founder of the brand development agency Büro für Markenentwicklung as well as the Head of the Innovation Lab at Deutsche Seereederei, a German holding company with subsidiaries in a wide variety of sectors.
Professor Errichiello is the author or co-author of numerous research publications and 20 books, including the influential volumes Green Branding and Reality in Branding.
His work has attracted considerable interest from German media outlets and his collaboration to co-create and market a wooden radio with award-winning design has been a major story on Der Spigel.
Professor Errichiello is also a frequent guest author and commentator for other influential German media, such as ARD and ZDF.
He is widely recognized for his thought leadership and he has delivered keynote speeches globally across many countries, including China, England, Austria, Italy, Singapore and Indonesia.
On the show, Oliver discusses with Ivo his unique approach linking theory and practice, his experience of creating and managing projects such as the “wooden radio”, the insights of German sociologists into marketing, and green branding, among other topics.
